It’s unfortunate to have a limited number of volunteer hours to work on them.
Should we be looking at priorities?
If so, then trying to consider what to do after an Internet shutdown may be well beyond the scope of what Mayfirst can achieve, at least at the present time.

I agree that directly implementing strategies for dealing with Internet shutdowns is beyond the scope of what May First staff has capacity to take on at the moment. But it is a concern we are hearing repeatedly from our membership and even within our board. The point of yesterday’s meeting/exercise was to poll members for their input on how they think we should approach this. We didn’t have a large group but yesterday we discussed reaching out to other organizations that are directly working on this problem. Holding informational sessions for our members might be within our capacity and one way to get started.
Estoy de acuerdo en que la implementación directa de estrategias para hacer frente a los apagones de Internet está fuera del alcance de lo que el personal de May First tiene capacidad para asumir en este momento. Pero si es una preocupación que hemos escuchado ya muchas veces de nuestra membresía y en inluco desde nuestra junta directiva. El punto de la reunión/ejercicio de ayer fue pedir a la membresía que nos den su opinión sobre cómo que deberíamos abordar esto. No teníamos un grupo grande, pero ayer hablamos de entrar en contacto con otras organizaciones que están trabajando directamente en este problema. La organización de sesiones informativas para la membresía podría estar dentro de nuestra capacidad y sería una forma de empezar a abordar el tema.
