2026 Jitsi Workshop Planning

Greetings TIAS members, during today’s meeting it was agreed to pursue planning for a 2026 Jitsi 101 (Beginner Level) Workshop. The purpose is to de-mystify Jitsi and make it easier to choose. In this way, people are more likely to choose Jitsi as their video conference platform for their personal, social, or business use. **The ask: For this workshop, we need a lead trainer, a tech support lead, and at least one assistant. Please reply in this thread if you are interested in being part of the facilitation team.

Please take a look at the outline - and there are questions and answers that follow. You can add more questions or feedback at the bottom of the document. I’ve also made a project deck to track the collaborative tasks related to this workshop. I’ve never used a MayFirst Deck so let’s see how this goes.

Thank you, Hafidha, for starting this thread. I can co-facilitate if necessary or provide support with anything else you need. I noticed that you put on the deck that we need to look for approval from the MF staff, but we don’t actually need that. If we decide to work on something in TIAS, that is enough. I propose to add another task on deck that is making the flyer for calling the workshop, but for some reason I can not put it :thinking: . I’m really looking forward to seeing where this will lead us.
