Catholic Social Teaching

Hello!

I am looking establish firm grounding of worker cooperatives and democratic IT using the so-called ‘Catholic Social Teaching’, a set of doctrines that come from the Catholic Church.

After following meandering paths of questioning self-appointed “authorities”, anarchism, worker cooperatives and others, I find myself most at home with Jesus Christ.

If any of this rings true, please contact me! :grinning:

Here’s some more proper academic argumentation (although I admittedly understand only half of it )

This is exciting! I’d reach out to Catholic Worker communities in the US. The Los Angeles Catholic Worker is always on the frontlines and they’re generally very willing to share how they’re navigating the current time.

Excellent, do you have friends at Catholic Workers’?

Here in MayFirst, I see what many Catholics call “wokeist” frames of references.

However, as the author of the link I sent earlier would tell us, we do not want to get into bomb throwing trench wars of so called left and right😅

Having said that, I see so much commonality between Catholic Social Teaching and MayFirst movement!

For one thing, is any of our machines named after Dorothy Day, who seems to be a left activist and also revered by the Catholics?
