We have a custom domain, and wondered if there is a way to configure a mailing list using our own domain, instead of some-list-name @lists.mayfirst.org. Is that possible? It doesn’t seem like it is, at least according to this support page: How to create a mailing list | Help
I’m used to mailman being configured to work with my own domain, but understand if there are technical reasons that is hard to do here at MayFirst.
Oh! Thanks for asking. Yes, you can use your own domain name. I just updated the help page to explain how, see the section called “Wait, I want to use my own domain name”:
However…. we have not yet upgraded to Mailman3, so only the mail domain is possible now. However, if you add those DNS records and use your own domain for the mail domain, then the same domain will be used for your web domain when we upgrade.
