Could my IP be banned?
EDIT: appears that I can’t visit from other devices, or from Shell.mayfirst.org - Is Shell Down Right Now?

Yes - could be! However, we ban web and ssh ports separately and independently of each other (and we don’t have https access to shell.mayfirst.org ).
If you can access our web services, try https://ip.mayfirst.org/ - and then email support@mayfirst.org with your IP address and I can check.
If you have access to telnet, you can run this test to see if your ssh connections are being blocked:
telnet shell.mayfirst.org 22
I get this response:
Trying XXXXXXXX…
Connected to shell.mayfirst.org .
Escape character is ‘^]’.
SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_xxxxxxxxx
I must have misremembered logging in via shell dot mayfirst dot org in browser. Or else I am ip banned. Either way, I was able to authenticate shell access by logging into members dot mayfirst dot org slash cp
