Hi all, I’m forwarding this invitation I received and have signed up to attend:
This call was rescheduled from last month so I am re-inviting you! Join Kairos on October 30th at 3 pm ET for a movement organizing call to hold Google accountable for their many harms to our communities, from their role in accelerating genocide, to the impacts of their explosive data center growth on school funding, to their supporting role in the climate crisis. Register here and read on for more details.
Kairos has been fighting Google on the ways they are accelerating climate catastrophe for the past year – and we want to put our heads together with you to connect the dots between all the different ways Google stands in our way as we fight for our communities. Over the past 26 years since their inception, Google has amassed a tremendous amount of power, and the people in Alphabet’s corner offices unfortunately use their outsized influence to actively oppose our movements for justice.
Join us on October 30th from 3-4:30 PM ET/12-1:30 PM PT for a virtual movement teach-in on how Google wields their unchecked power and how organizers are pushing back.
RSVP here: Meeting Registration - Zoom
We will hear from:
- Ramah Kudaimi, Action Center on Race and the Economy (ACRE)
- Lau Barrios, No Tech for Apartheid
- Kasia Tarczynska, Good Jobs First
- Akina Younge, Center on Race and Digital Justice
RSVP to join us on October 30th, 3 PM ET by clicking here.
Come for the conversation, stay for the swag– everyone who comes to the call will be able to request free 4x3 stickers calling out Google on their climate harms. Keep a few for yourself and give them out to your base!
Once you’ve RSVP-ed, please help us spread the word! Can you forward this invite to another movement partner who might appreciate this conversation?
Thanks!
